Craft Beer Festival Organisers Hop'ing with Joy as Inaugural Festival Sells Out
Organisers of the the Edinburgh Craft Beer Revolution Festival - Richard Servranckx and Dan Quille - are celebrating success after their inaugural festival, which took place at Assembly Roxy over the weekend 24-26th Nov, sold out across all three days.
Over 2200 beer lovers attended the festival after additional tickets were put on sale last minute to help meet demand. Richard commented... 'We'd like to thank everyone who joined us at the festival over the weekend and helped make our dream of organising a craft beer festival a reality. It was great to see everyone having fun and talking to the brewers about their product. It's our mission to become the 'Farmers Market' of beer, putting a face and story to the brands and introducing people to quality beers - it's safe to say the revolution has begun! We've received wonderful feedback from visitors and the brewers at the festival and across social media and we're looking forward to building on that for the next festival.'
More than 70 craft beers were available for festivalgoers to enjoy from 14 breweries including Edinburgh based breweries Pilot, Top Out and Brewgooder, Glasgow based Up Front, London based Howling Hops and Parisis from Paris. Visitors also enjoyed a Cocktail, Wine & Cider Corner featuring Arbikie Gin & Vodka and wines and ciders from Vino Wines; street food from Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, Scoff and The Buffalo Truck; plus masterclasses, live music and pub quizzes.
A partnership between the festival and Untappd allowed visitors to rate each beer via the Unatppd app and vote for their favourite. The winner of the Craft Beer Revolution Festival 'Beer of the Year Award' will be announced on the festival's social media on Wednesday.
