Edinburgh Fashion Week 2015
The event Edinburgh has been waiting for has finally arrived. Edinburgh Fashion Week takes place between Saturday 7th and Sunday 15th March, with a packed schedule of events including catwalk shows, tutorials, pop-up shops and instore events and promotions.
The launch weekend sees The Mound transformed into a fashion hub, inviting women and men of all ages to watch this season's latest trends on the catwalk and get inspiration from local fashion blogger Laura Russell of Satisfashion and Lorraine Majdi from John Lewis with free-to-attend tutorials. There will also be a number of local boutique pop-ups to shop from, or if you prefer to relax and soak in the atmosphere, refreshing cocktails and cold beers will be available. Across the capital retailers are also offering exclusive discounts and free-with-purchase gifts for you to take advantage of. Participating retailers include Gap, Godiva, Just G, L.K. You can also attend fabulous instore events, which take place throughout Edinburgh Fashion Week. On Wednesday 11th March Godiva are hosting a 15% discount evening with drinks and sweeties and L.K Bennett welcome you with prosecco, goody bags and a tour of their new collection.
Thursday is a busy evening, but like any true fashionista, you can run about the city and be seen at all the events. Get a Designer Accessory Makeover at Covet at 5pm, take your seat at the Grassmarket Tartans Fashion Show at the Grassmarket Centre at 6pm and get style advice from local fashion bloggers at Gap at 7pm.
